Advanced Certificate in Organizational Development Consulting (ACODC) is an international certification program offered by Advisio. It constitutes a proof of consulting competences in the field of organizational system development.
  • Program's objectives

    The aim of the ACODC program is to strengthen its graduates as independent, competent, confident and effective organizational development consultants.

    Participants deepen their knowledge of the systemic understanding of organizations, improving their ability to support change processes in line with the Shrink&Grow™ principle. They learn key concepts and techniques associated with building a consulting relation with an organization. They also refine their practical skills related to designing, formatting, marketing, and contracting organizational development projects.

  • Program's outline

    The program consists of 9 training days (8*45min) divided into 3 modules, 3 days each.


    Module 1

    Day 1

    • organizational development triad: change - relation - structure,

    • organizational change physiology
    • Shrink&Grow™ principle in systemic consulting
      • not-knowing in organizational development
      • non-action in organizational development
      • scaling-down in organizational development

    Day 2

    • presentations of case studies

    Day 3

    • case studies analysis - organizational change perspective


    Module 2

    Day 4

    • building consulting relationship
      • entry point into an organizational system

      • seeing and feeling - self as a consulting tool
      • consultant as a transitional object
      • anxiety containment in a consulting relationship

    Day 5

  • Entry requirements

    Participants of the ACODC program need to meet the following two criteria:

    • are the FCODC certificate holders

    • have conducted and successfully completed at least three commercial organizational development projects using at least three different Advisio methodologies

  • How to prepare

    Each of the participants in the program ACDOC is required to prepare and present a case study. Well-prepared case study should meet the following criteria:

    1. case study:

    • concerns a genuine organizational development project executed in the past two years,

    • concerns a project realized with the use of Advisio consulting tools and methodologies,
    • concerns the implementation of a project which has been a valuable and growing experience for a consultant involved,

    • is presented with total respect for the rules of confidentiality applicable to consultancy work (anonymised client's name, personal details, and any other possibly sensitive data);

    2. consultant presenting a case study:

    • personally realized the project in question,

    • is able to explain decisions and actions that he undertook therin,

    • is able to assess the outcomes of the project which was carried out,

    • consultant is aware of strengths and weaknesses of both: his work in the project, as well as, of the entire project,

    • is able to indicate what he would do differently if he was to conduct the same project again;

    3. presentation of a case study is carried out in accordance with good training standards:

    • facilitates group's learning, is interesting and engaging,

    • creates the conditions for idea exchange, asking questions, and free discussion,

    • is well planned in time (60 min).
